The Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) is preparing to launch the new phase of the Decarbonization of the Turkish Steel Sector Project, which aims to contribute to the green transformation of industry in Türkiye. The fifth phase of the project aims to strengthen sectoral collaborations while also supporting policy and knowledge production.
The fifth phase of the project will be carried out by IPC between March 2026 and March 2027. Within this scope, technical workshops and panels will be organized to support the transformation of the sector in the priority topics determined under the activities of the Turkish Steel Sector Network. In addition, various activities focusing on decarbonization in industry will be carried out before and during COP31.
During the year, a website focusing on the transformation theme in the steel sector will also be launched. This platform, which will bring together different resources on the decarbonization and transformation of the sector, as well as publications, podcasts, videos and presentations prepared by IPC, aims to be a basic reference source on the subject.
